It’s not a bad looking truck at all. But it feels like...I don’t know how to say it...

I guess I feel like when this generation is 10 years old, it’s going to look like a cheap beater truck. Which I guess it is. And honestly, it isn’t a bad thing. Trucks have gotten so big, so cushy, and so expensive, that it’s sort of nice to see one that’s more about actual work.

Also mildly amusing, the midsize Ranger is not much smaller than  the 10th generation (1997-2003) fullsize F-150.

The same could be said for the current Tacoma and Colorado. They also feel remarkably dated compared to their larger siblings. Actually, the Tundra is ancient too, but you know what I mean. These are work oriented trucks. Just look at the last gen Rangers. They look dated but still get the job done for hundreds of thousands of people every day. I love that aspect of them. They get straight to the point without trying to convince you they’re luxury cars.

Hmm. I have to disagree about the Colorado. I think it looks significantly newer than it’s full sized brethren.

Or Mayb e I’m just smitten by the yellow paint...

The Ranger has been around for years and is intended for doing actual work though. It looks old and basic because it is!

Except all the 2wd have the same suspension as the 4x4, so they're all basically an Edge now.
